Ed's Story

I have pretty much been a worker drone all my life. Even in High School I opted for delivering two different newspapers rather than after school activities. Not a loner per say, but I preferred a close circle of neighborhood friends rather than any groups in High School. In fact I really did not enjoy High School on any level. I tried college (HCC) shortly after HS, but I was not ready to commit. My folks moved to South Florida so followed in 1990. I did not like it at first, but I eventually found a niche. My quest for excitement lead me to a career in acting which amounts to a part-time job more than anything really substantial. I found that bartending can be lucrative here in a tourist state. I strictly teach bartenders now at the New York Bartending School here in Fort Lauderdale. I have a degree in Anthropology/Social Sciences and a Certificate in Ethnic Cultures. I was working at the definintive Natural History Museum here in South Florida before its untimely demise. I currently use my degree by participating in some archaeological digs and some volunteer work; including some volunteer work at Save the Chimp. mily. If it was not for him teaching me different social studies/ history classes I may never pursued such academic & career choices. Thank-you Mr. Lane, you are sorely missed. I currently utilize my degree teaching history at an alternative school in Boca Raton, Florida. I am studying Arabic (Mumtazz Sadiqi!) and I am considering joining the Army at a ripe age of 37. I have a two cats, because the apartments down here are not always dog-friendly. I have had my one cat now for over 12 years...and a half a dozen girlfriends in that same time. I am single after suffering from another perplexing break-up, making oh the more synical and jaded. My pic by the way is a good ten years old, so I am a good ten pounds heavier and greyer! As far as acting goes I have played a mobster opposite Eva Longorria (she kills me) in "Carlita's Secret", I have made a commercial with my childhood hero Mr. T, and I was the stand-in for Jason Statham, "The Transporter" when the sequal was filmed here. I even did a stint has a bouncer manager at a Fort Lauderdale night-club. Oh if the kids from WHS could have seen me in action. ...and now you know the rest of the story...to be continued...
