Ed's Story

Life Thought it was about time to update my bio so here we go.Next year will be my 20th anniversary with my girlfriend Cindy!Nope,no kids but three cats and one dog.We live in La Mirada,CA.and are slowly but surely remodeling our home.Sometime this year we're going to be adding on a large family/entertainment room. We're big into the whole TIKI thing so the back patio and yard are getting a tropicalizing!I go out to see bands more often than Cindy does but she still enjoys it once in a while.I still like to go to the smaller clubs to see live music. You get that up close and personal feeling and sometimes you get suprised to see who shows up to play! It's my thing what can I say?! And now for something completely different:)I've been back on hemodialysis for about five years and am waiting for my second kidney transplant. The first one I recieved in Jan.1994 and lasted about six and a half years. All considered I'm doing pretty good and don't let this slow me down very much. The reason for my kidney failure in the first place is a hereditary disease called polycystic kidney w/endstage renal failure.Since my folks adopted me I don't know who it came from.Looking into my bio.parents to find out is something I'm curious about but is definitely not a priority.I need to rest after dialysis and need to keep myself at a slower pace but like I said it doesn't stop me from do...Expand for more
ing much. Now that SPRING is rolling around again we'll be preparing for camping, hiking, fishing, and hopefully a little short distance travel.I gotta be in the area if I get the phone call for a transplant!I enjoy airshows quite a lot.Cindy not so much but I think she'll join me for the first one I go to!We like to have people over, quite a bit,so we'll probably have a good number of TIKI PARTIES!!!Ok,I can't forget about work.I've been working at a hobby shop,in Garden Grove, for eight years or so.I enjoy it so much.Meeting new people such as active military, veterans, pilots, law enforcement, aircraft restorers and just average customers is such a blast! The owner of the shop and general manager are great people and I have a lot to thank them for.Everyday there I learn something new, meet someone new,or even run into an old face.Cindy is a human resources supervisor w/ a large mortgage company. She's been with this particular company for about four or five years.Well I'm not too sure of what more to say so I'll say so long! College I went to Rio Hondo with a no nonsense attitude and came away from there with an education and a few new friends to boot! Not too bad if you ask me.I'm thinking about going to another college to study history and may just wind up working on a degree! My main interest lies in early Japanese history through modern Japanese/American relations.
