Ed's Story
Graduated College in 1966 immediately went to flight school with the USAF. Had two tours in Vietman, 1967 and 1970. Remained on active duty for 28 years retiring in 1994 with the rank of Colonel. Assignments over the 28 years were in Michigan, Da Nang Vietnam, Utah, Illinois, Virgina, Florida, New Jersey, Nevada, Germany and Arizona.
Final assignment was in Tucson as the Davis Monthan AFB Support Group Commander and then just before leaving active duty as the Professor of Aerospace Science at the University of Arizona.
Leaving the Air Force served as the Executive Director of an air and space museum in Tucson and then worked as the Executive Director of a large evangelical church.until 2012.

nt to Africa for the first time. After returning in 2006 began a non profit foundation Heartbeat for Africa. Since my first trip in 2005 have been back to Africa 13 times mainly in the countries of Ghana, Togo, Senegal, Guiena Bissau, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Last trip in July 2015 to Ghana working in 8 rural communities doing community development work and support efforts to stop child trafficking.
Hobbys include flying, hiking and trail riding in the Arizona Desert.
Married to Carolyn for 47 years, two daughters and four grandchildren all of whom live in Tucson.
Passion reaching out to the poor, hungry and homeless people of West Africa and doing my part to eliminate child trafficking and slavery
