ll as the testing of cases of special interest such as the bullet that allegedly killed John F. Kennedy. Mr. Huffine served as the Director of the Forensic Sciences Program for the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) from 1999 - 2004. From a central base of operations in Bosnia, Mr. Huffine was the architect of the commission’s Forensic Sciences Program, and was responsible for developing a comprehensive forensic system to assist in identifying the remains of the estimated 25,000 to 35,000 people missing in the wake of the Balkan conflict. This system, which incorporated cutting-edge identification technologies, has successfully DNA tested more than 20,000 skeletal samples and established a database of more than 80,000 reference samples, leading to the identification of more than 12,000 individuals. This was the first of its kind system created to identify thousands in a post-conflict setting, and has served as a model for the development of similar systems. Mr. Huffine is currently the lead DNA scientist at Bode for the identification of the missing from the World Trade Center, the Katrina Hurricane, the missing women of Juarez and Chihuahua in Mexico, and other identification missions and served as the DNA Program Manager for the Thailand Tsunami Identification Center in early 2005. In September 2001, Mr. Huffine received a lifetime achievement award for his contributions in the field of human identifications. Mr. Huffine holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cameron University and a master’s in Biochemistry from University of Oklahoma.
