Ed's Story
Life
After school I joined the Air Force and was trained in aircraft instrumentation repair. My first assignment was to Beale AFB, CA. On the way there I stopped by Herlong to marry Roxie Turek. I spent the bulk of my career working, supervising and then managing some aspect of the SR-71 and U-2 high altitude reconnaissance aircraft and sensors. I've got almost 28 years in and I'm still going. 24 years have been at Beale AFB near Sacramento CA but I've traveled all over the US and the world. and Kim, 11. I love active outdoor sports like backpacking, climbing, scuba diving, canoeing, mtn biking etc.
Well, It's been about six years since I wrote the above. I retired in Feb 2003 with 29 years and 7 months time in the Air Force. For the past four and a half years I have worked for Raytheon as the manager of the team that repairs the sensors and datalinks that fly on the U-2 aircraft at Beale AFB and overseas.
My son Just graduated(2007)from UC Davis with a BS in psychology and my daughter is a senior in high school
