Ed's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Maplewood and that's where I met my wife, Mary(Lorah), in the 4th grade at Sutton School. We never dated until after graduation from high school but then things happened pretty fast, married in 1971! She's the one who introduced me to the Lord. I was baptized in Jesus' name and received the Holy Spirit in 1975. We have been happily married for over 32 years, we have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. We are missionaries to Thailand and are returning there again in September of 2004.
School
For the most part high school was a positive experience for me. Had some great friends but unfortunately we have lost contact. My biggest regret is that I didn't date the girl I would later marry.
College
After goofing around for a year at Central Missouri State Univ. at Warrensburg, MO I got down to business. Ultimately I received three d...Expand for more
egrees. An A.S. degree from George Washington Univ. in Nuclear Medicine, a B.A. degree in Business Management from Christian Heritage College, and a Theology Diploma from Christian Service Training Institute. Still trying to pay off my student loan!
Workplace
After being discharged from the navy in 1976 I worked as a nuclear medicine technician in San Diego, CA. I entered full-time ministry in 1980 and have served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor and now missionary.
I love teaching/preaching God's Word and helping people.
Military
Except for boot camp my naval experience was positive. I was a corpsman which prepared me for working in hospitals for almost 10 years after I was discharged. And they paid for my tuition at G.W.U which saved me around $12,000. I was stationed in Orlando, Portsmouth, San Diego and Bethesda at naval hospitals.
