Ed's Story
Life
Hi, guys. I see several of my old friends have recently joined. I saw many of you at our 40th (can you believe it?) reunion where my friend Daniel performed his Elvis tribute show. He's nowliving in Los Angeles, working for a national mortage firm. Still doing shows, though, mostly on the West Coast. As for me, I am married (41 years in October, 2001) two daughters and three grandchildren. I have recently accomplished my goal of returning home (well, close by). I now live in Wilmer, AL, out near Big Creek Lake. I am retired after 24 years with Delta Air Lines, followed by five years of independent consulting.
I am now driving for a limo service (basically large shuttle vans), Mobile Bay Transportation. We provide off-airport parking across Airport Blvd from the Mobile airport (4.00 per day) with a free shuttle to and from the airport. We also provide transportation between the Mobile, Pensacola and Gulfport airports and destinations (home, hotel, cruise ship, etc) basically from Lake Charles, LA, to Panama City, FL, and north as far as Birmingham.

ms, directing them to the elevators to the parking decks, taxis, shuttles and other ground transportation. I have seen several of our classmates as they are leaving the ship, as well as many other folks from my past. It's a really entertaining job and I enjoy it. (wouldn't be doing it otherwise, pay is next to nothing, but it gets me out of the house and I meet a bunch of great folks.)
I have also enjoyed driing several celebrities around, including a trip from Fairhope to New Orleans for Fannie Flagg, one of my favorite authors, actresses and screen-writers (she wrote the book and screen-play for Fried Green Tomatoes.) She has another movie coming in the next year or so based on one of her latest books, A Redbird Christmas. It's a great read, very enjoyable story. ery easy reading. You'll probably read it in one day. Most everyone I have recommended it to did.
Anyway, that's my story. Enjoying life as always, here in the Mobile area, looking forward to our fiftieth anniversary Vigor reunion, probably in September, 2007. Wish I could give you my e-mail address, would love to hear from my classmates. If you are a gold member, e-mail me and let's talk.
