Eddie's Story
Attended Clarkston High School thru 11th grade. Moved to Decatur and graduated from Decatur High School ...class of 61'. Attended Valdosta State College.. Massey Business College. Moved to Houston, TX in 1964. Drafted into US Army .. 21st birthday I was in Basic Training at Fort Polk, LA. Assigned to Signal Corps in Sacremento, CA then Fort Lewis, WA for jungle warfare training (in the snow). Then shipped out of San Francisco to Vietnam with stops in Hawaii, Japan and Okinawa. X.. then Stone Mountain, GA. Took Electrical Technology at DeKalb Tech.. Got married on 2/15/1969.. Graduated in May of 69' and went to work for Colonial Pipeline Co. Worked as a Utilityman, Supervisory Systems Tech, Field Senior Tech and Senior Operator. Moved to Macon, GA in Sept of 94'. Went on vacation in August of 98' and retired while on vacation. Still living in Macon, GA. Wife and I have one son, 3 grandsons (ages 11, 6 and 4 1/2) and one grandaughter 9 weeks. 6/15/2010
