Geta's Story
I love to dance! Sixteen years ago folklorico caught my attention. I love the sense of connection it gives me to my roots. It gives me a great workout and the opportunity to wear such wonderful costumes! In October 2005, my best buddy and I founded "Ballet Folklorico Raices." We've made it to the Staples Center for the Clippers during half time, the annual Azusa Sisters Mariachi Concert Festival, San Dimas Relay for Life Cancer Walk, LA County Fair, Orange County Fair, ...Expand for more
the Mission Playhouse, Charity Galas, and, of course, private parties. For both the spectator and the performer alike, It's a great way to get in touch with the Hispanic culture. It's been a blast! We are all levels; from ground-floor beginners through advanced. Every Saturday morning you can catch me working up a sweat! All ages admitted. Young and, yes, even my age...
