Eddie's Story
Hello, m' Friends,
You know, I cannot read yours because I haven't gone "gold."
In any case, my apologies, but the story's too long for justice. A rediculously abbreviated overview might go like this:
After NDHS, attended 3 years of college at RPI/VCU in Richmond, VA. CW buff - NSSA Confederate, Served briefly in student congress. Ideals & expectations clashed with reality. The first big love was a major downer, the draft motivated dedicated resistance. Had both girl and boyfriends (settled with domestic partner 34 years now) I found Leary, discovered magick (sic) - or it discovered me with fantastic visions that actually came true. Met others like myself.
Brief soujourn in the Village, longer in NE Vermont, Berkeley-Haight-Ashbury, Honolulu, Tucson & Vermont, Yellow Springs, OH, more Arizona, Key West - Arizona - Oregon... For years I wore the uniform: short beard, hair all the way down my back. Brother said my picture looked like INRI. He hung it over the door. Ha!
I played guitar in folk houses, had a stint as a roadie, lived in communes, ran with Rainbow Family. Played at revolution, networking, writing, illustrating, doing Magick with a serious circle. Sold crafts, waited tables at a class-act hotel, was a butler for outrageously rich people, tended bar, fell into carpentry and construct...Expand for more
ion. Ran Conservation programs with teens, also worked with at-risk kids. Self-employed with Custom woodworking and restorations for last 15 years. Work part-time to fill in with local school district as teacher's aid and custodial sub.
Hobbys: Camping(Still do), bike, fitness -- just weigh 5 lbs over the senior in HS. I love people and blessed with an ample share of good friends both young and old, Reading, Current Events, Historical studies, old-time music - have large acoustic record collection and into antique phonographs that play 'em, old Hermetic philosophy & spirituality, writing - stories, poetry, occasional technical with the old car hobby, variously active in local politics, Into antique cars, HCCA.
I say that scratches the surface - somewhat in order. Promise: No BS here, either.
