Eddie's Story
Life
My wife and I own a little hobby shop in Yucca Valley, CA. We own a house on two acres and are supervised by two kitties.
After high school I attended C.O.D. then San Jose State. Then, of course, the U.S. Army and service in Vietnam. Spent some great years in San Francisco as a working student and hippie. Managed bookstores from San Rafael to Torrance.
I was with the Getty Museum in Malibu for many years before joining Barnes & Noble as store manager at Marina del Rey, Torrance and Manhattan Beach.
In addition to the book business, I also established a theatre and produced plays for Performance Repertory in Hollywood for a number of years. Also directe...Expand for more
d plays around the L.A. area and reviewed theatre for the beach cities papers. Wrote a few plays, too, at UCLA's Guggenheim Fellowship program. All my plays had great dialogue and characters but lacked story arc and I could never get a handle on that!
Divorced wife number one in 1984 (14 of the 15 years were pretty good). Married number two in 1985 and we're still an item.
Some may remember me and the clarinet. Still have one but it is strictly livingroom sculpture now.
I left Barned & Noble for the rural life here in the high desert. I'm loving it. I'd love to hear from some old friends from the classes of 64, 65 and 66!
You are dear to me still.
