Life
After enjoying four great high school years at School of the Holy Child, Sharon,I graduated from Cabrini College with a major in Chemistry and minor in Math; work as an analytical chemist with a pharmaceutical company for two years before going to Germany and Italy for two months - wonderful experience!- taught high school Math and Science while I got my Master degree from Villanova U. in chemistry, before going to Univ. of Pennsylvania School of Medicine for my M.D. Interned in Gen. Surgery at Univ. of Rochester Strong Mem. Hospital before Gen. Surgery Residency at Univ. of Iowa in Iowa City, IA and specialty residency in Ear, Nose and Throat (Otorhinolaryngolgy)/Head and Neck Surgery back at Univ. of Pennsylvania and Research Fellowship in Otology/Neuroscience and a separate fellowship at Univ. of Chicago in Allergy and Rhinology. d Allergy. I live in Milwaukee, WI where I met my husband, Dr. Daniel Maguire, a Pro-Choice Catholic theologian at Marquette Univ., at a Pro-Choice rally after the Webster decision. We are active our professions, in local, state and national politics, in local and regional cultural activities and enjoy travel, cooking and gardening and try to study Italian when we can. We are blessed with Dan's son(Thomas)and daughter-in-law(Karen)and three wonderful grandchildren(Isa, Adam and Raadia). My father died 10 years ago, two months before my brother, Gerry. My Mother is healthy and still living in Drexel Hill, PA. My sister, Mary is a laywer and lives in Chicago and my other sibs, Joe, John, Jeanie and Fran, still live in the Delaware-Chester County areas of Pennsylvania.
I consider my years at Holy Child, Sharon High School to be absolutely ovarian in my maturation and development. It is with great fondness that I recall my years there and the teachers and classmates I had the pleasure to be taught by.
