Edith's Story
Life
I lived in Oregon for the past 26 years, I have 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter in Heaven and a great grandson on the way (due 8-10-13). My Husband and I ran a construction company, which I was the bookkeeper. My children and grandchildren keep us quite busy. I love to hike and ski. I enjoyed painting, and drawing, as most of my friends will remember. I went to the 10 year and the 20 year class reunions, but missed the last few.
Passing into Heaven
I am so sorry to inform all of you but, Edith passed away on June 28th 2003. She developed Lung Cancer in early 2002 and lost that battle a year and a half later. She never smoked and was very healthy but still got Lung Cancer. The doctors here just kept missing the signs, until it was too late. She had stage 4 Cancer, 6 tumors on her brain, one on her rib and one large one in her lung, ...Expand for more
with 1 liter of fluid in that lung. " Why oh why did they miss these signs?" I ask myself. This is what I answer "It must have been what needed to happen in all of our lives". I cry every time I have to tell people her story. Even though it has been 10 years since she passed into Heaven, it still hurts so much to talk about it. As with all Mother's she was everything to us. She will be in the hearts and minds of all of us always and forever. LOVE YOU MOM, your loving Daughter, Trisha Cowan
The photo above for the NOW picture is that of Mom 6 months before she passed.
