Edmond's Story
How should I begin -- how about from the beginning? In kindergarten, I was Mrs. Andersen's class -- others were in Mrs. Reed's. That's one cool thing about growing up in one place. You get to know people at their beginning and sometimes know them for a very long time.
My life is pretty simple to describe. After high school, I got a degree from Eastern Wash University in Journalism/Radio-Television. Got married and lived in Spokane. Had two children - a girl and a boy.
My wife of 34 years - Susan - died of mesothelioma cancer on June 27, 2008. We endured treatment for 20 months and it was a very challenging time in my life.
I own a advertising agency called Creative Consultants. We do work all over the country and I truly enjoy it.
My kids have grown -- both attended the University of Washington. Aubrey teaches mathematics at Shadle Park High School in Spokane. She is married to Aaron and now has the last name of Smith....Expand for more
Nathan works for Microsoft in Redmond. He just received his five year award and is doing great.
Today, I live in a new home in a suburb of Spokane called Greenacres (yes, I know, it's the place to be...) on an acre & a half, with a new partner, Donna Lange. We had met years ago when I worked at American Sign and Indicator in the late '70's. We were always friends throughout that time, casually seeing each other at advertising events and cathcing up then (she is a wonderful graphic designer) After Sue's death, we reconnected and discovered we had a whole lot more in common that we knew -- music, art, spirituality. One of life's happy coincedences I suppose. Our place is called the Raven Haven, and it's a dog and many cat paradise.
Well, that's about it. My life in a nutshell. I still have a passion for music and love going to concerts. My ipod had 7000 songs on it and growing.
I guess I intend to keep growing as well.
