Edmund's Story

Life Donna and I have been married for 36years, have four children, five grandchildren and live in San Diego, California. My wife, Donna, graduated from Bloom. Her maiden name was Kruse. She works as a Nurse at a local Hospital here in the East county of San Diego. She is definitely the keystone of our family. We grew up together and attended Wilson School,Washington Jr. High and 1 year at Bloom Trail. We actually knew each other prior to Kindergarten. She lived two houses down from my Uncle. I had only attended Bloom during the freshman year at Bloom Trail and then moved and attended Rich Central H.S. Three years at Rich Central and I cannot remember one persons name, nor do I expect to be remembered. but I could still recall the names of all the kids I went to school with at Wilson Elementary School. I was in the Navy for 12 years and worked as a Nuclear Certified Pipe welder and Radiation Worker, repairing Nuclear Powered Fast Attack, L.A. Class and Trident Submarines on the East and West Coast. I left the Navy in '92 and Worked for Florida Power and Light and Florida Power Corporation at their Nuclear Plants, St. Lucie, Crystal River and Turkey Point near Miami. I had also worked at Arkansas Nuclear One and Mcguire Nuclear in North Carolina. We left Florida in '96. I accepted a job in Alaska and worked in both Kenai and Ketchikan, everyone loved Alaska. We even drove up to Denali National Park and viewed Mt. Mckinley. The kids were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights when we left Alaska and drove through the Yukon territory, The Alaska Highway caused us ...Expand for more
several flat tires . So, We made our way back to where we started our family in our favorite place, San Diego,Ca. I had worked for Walashek Industrial Marine, which operates worldwide and have traveled and worked in S. Korea, Singapore,Malaysia,Hong Kong,Portugal,Germany,Mexico, Canada, China and many locations throughout the U.S. most recently Hawaii for three months and possibly another 5 starting in October. I even landed one time at the Kansai Airport which is in Japan, but it was built in the Osaka Bay. Traveling gets old , especially when you are by yourself. I have also been to the Philipines, Diego Garcia and Sydney, Australia( Kings Cross) when I was in the Navy but only remember the inside of their bars. I maintained my certification as an Advanced Open Water Diver and a Licensed Pilot until a recent Common Iliac Artery aneurysm. Looking back at it now, the funny part is I suffered the aneurysm right after the waitress handed me the bill at a local Applebees restaurant. Nothing like sliding down a wall in front of 100 people while they are eating and having paramedics carry you out, but I did pay the bill, the restaurant wasn't that sympathetic. I thank my youngest son Trapper for all of his help during that event. So now I wolf down a hand full of pills every morning for the control of High blood pressure and High cholesterol. But I feel Great. Well, I'm off to Trader Joe's for some Two buck Chuck, it's for my heart, ya know. There I'm done.
