Edward Burkhalter:  

Life Life has certainly been a journey. Graduated high school in 1958. Joined the US Air Force in 1959. Get my military comitment out of the way and return to school for arts and crafts in Berkley. Become an illustrator for Walt Disney. End of that dream. I retired from the USAF 22 years later in 1981 and on to another career and retirement 20 years later from Shands at the University of Florida. I married in 1965. soon to be 41 years. We have 3 Grown children and 7 Grandchildren ages 3 to l9 years old. We live in Gainesville Florida. Home of the fightingGators Go Gators. Ed Burkhalter (Burgie) was my nickname. Class of 1958. 7-26-06 My wife of 43 years and I are both retired now she from Nursing and me from Whatever came my way.Militrary, and Shands at the UF Hospital. Twenty years at each. We just returned in June from a cruise to Alaska WOW what a State. This past October we took a cruise up the St Lawerance through to Nova Scotia WOW another beautiful awesome trip. We were caught in Hurricane WILMA as we left Maine We had to deadhead it to safe harbor in Virginiathe waves were 12 to 18 feet School Camptonville Elementary School: This was the beginning of school for me the 1st Grade;It lasted 1 full year. I attended school there until it snowed then went down to my grandmothers in the Valley and finished. It was a one room school and there were grades 1 through 8th.
