(Chico) Edward's Story
I've pretty much have always stayed in the Barstow area, I'm hoping to make my way eventually to the Vegas area, I'm there all the time anyways,I figure I should just move there. Anyways I went to Barstow College after High School to wrestle. It was good living, the college helped pay my way and even gave me a job there on the campus, it was an endless party! Then the Jarvis Act passed and the College had to cancel the sports programs to survive, so I had to go out to the working world and I got a job at the fort were I worked for 9 years. I quit there and went to work for Thompson Dist. I've been there ever since, its a really good job, the benefits are second to none. I stayed a single man for 26 years, thinking that I never wanted to get married or have kids. But as I grew older I started to settle down. I married my then girl...Expand for more
friend and my son was born when I was 27, so I got a later start then most having kids. I now have two great kids who have really made me proud with their accomplishments.
I'm living the single life all over again and it's O.K! Ever since my daughter left to go the the Academy, it's been pretty quite for me. Now its just me and my three dogs at home, and their always happy to see me when I get home from work! I just love my dogs!
I've always tried to do my part by being a sports coach. I've probably coached every youth sport there is at every level. I'm now coaching the KMS Jr. High Wrestling team and my Riffian Wrestling Club I helped start four years ago. It's a lot of fun watching these little kids compete and know what there doing.
I don't know were life is going to lead me, but I'll go there with a smile.
