During Dr. Gibbonsâs career as a scientist and administrator he has been the recipient of federal research grants, and he has served as a grant reviewer for the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. He has authored over 20 scientific articles, has served as the senior editor for the State University of New York Pressâs series of books on endangered species, and has reviewed scientific articles for a number of journals. He has served as a judge at Louisiana State University Medical Centerâs graduate student and postdoctoral research day and at the New York City Science and Engineering Fair. Currently, Dr. Gibbons serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Forest Partners International. In addition, he is an accreditation evaluator for the Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Edward F. Gibbons, Jr. received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1986. Since then he has served as the Director of Research at the Audubon Zoological Gardens in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has had professional affiliations with a number of institutions, including: Southeastern Louisiana University and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Gibbons has also served as the vice president of regulatory compliance for a large education corporation. Currently, Dr. Gibbons is the President, CEO and cofounder of Rockford Kingsley, Ltd. Rockford Kingsley is an organization devoted to encouraging and supporting individuals and organizations as they strive to attain their goals.
