Edward's Story
Graduated LLCC in Biology and Illinois State in Occupational Safety & Health in 1974. Employed at International Harvester Truck Plants as a Safety & Industrial Hygiene Engineer, then back to ISU, as an Disaster Management Instructor. Went on to Director Sangamon County/Springfield Emergency Management, then to USDOE/Battelle/Pacific Northwest National Laboratories and later to NASA/Johnson Space Center as a Senior Safety Engineer/Manager with Mission Operations as well as other NASA Directorates. e professorship till retirement in 2018. Outside activities includeTexas certified volunteer fire/rescue officer, search and rescue officer for the USAF/HS, along with woodworking and model railroading. Currently volunteering with Galveston County OEM and taking it easy. Happily married for 22-years; no children, but we have 4-fur babies. Trying to downsize and may move to north texas in the future. Wife would like more snow, rather than every eight years; watch the trees turn in the Fall and cooler weather year round.
