Edward's Story
Life
Slow day at work today...got nostalgic...two weeks after graduation, went into the Army as a combat photographer... spent most of my time in Germany, loved it...after getting out, got tired of partying and got serious about school, got a degree in Human Factors Engineering (whatever that is), went to work at Wright Patterson...got a master's in engineering at UD...(yawn)...got married at 19, divorced a few years ago...have been discovering that all single women my age are drunk, insane or both! Moved to Florida and began working in electronic warfare, which is a geek's dream come true, like high-stakes electronic chess game. Have played guitar, sax, etc for most of my life now...not a virtuoso, but good enough to play in bars...playing a regular gig in a beach bar down here. Right now live in a condo on the Gulf of Mexico. Into sunsets, gigging flounder, Taoist yoga, playing funk and blues, oriental food, kind people. Keep getting mellower, happier as I age (like a good vintage of MD 20/20?). Peace and Love be with anyone who bothers to read this! Write...Expand for more

Dec 09. An update: has it really been five years since I wrote that? A lot has happened; got married about 4 years ago; She died (at 46) about two years ago: lesson learned: get out there and live! I've been working, raising her son Tyler (who is now 15), still playing music on weekends, not as much time for fishing etc. these days. Met a wonderful woman on E-Harmony about 18 months ago (it figures, I had to go online to meet someone who worked about 100 yards away!), and we are savoring what moments we can get together and planning a marriage sometime next year. Live about 9 miles form the beach now and never seem to get there... Get this: there is a real Swami here in town, been hanging out with him some, learning a bit about the Himalayan Tradition, and a lot about myself, learning a bit about meditation, spend a little time sitting each day, watching that weird mind of mine. It is good to see everyone on here, it amazes me that it was almost 40 years ago! Well, as before, thanks for reading this (you are tough if you got this far!), write! Peace. Eddy
