Edward's Story
Life
I was known as Eddie Lyon and I was born at Bayshore, L.I. New York. I lived in Levittown between ages 4 and 12. We moved to Holtsville, L.I. NY where I spent the rest of my teenage years 12 to 18 and went to Sachem H.S. which was located in Lake Ronkokoma. After school I spent 4 years in the Navy and then moved to Virginia where I got married and had 3 beautiful children and now have nine wonderful Grandchildren.
I spent 32 years at one job and after retiring went on to another job where I hope to spend 5 years and then retire for good. Life has had its ups and downs but I can truly say God has been with me through it all. I am greatly blessed and thankful for it. Lately I've had a hungar just to make contact with some old friends just to see how their lives turned out. Thats why I joined classmates.
My wife and I would like to make our final move in 5 years maybe live by the water either here in Virginia or North Carolina. Thanks
for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from someone soon.

Workplace
After High School I went immediately into the Military
(Navy) where I spent 4 years. I was a Radioman in
Communications which I loved doing and wish I persued that
field when I got out of the Navy. Sometimes I wished I had
made a career in the military. Next I worked for about a
year at Marumsco Plumbing and Heating before lan...Expand for more

super great job at Columbia Gas of Virginia where I spent
32 years. I started out at the bottom working in ditches
fixing gas leaks, Putting in new service lines Etc....,
then becoming a service person and last but least became
an M&R Tech working with large volume Meters and Regulation.
I enjoyed that the most. I met a lot of different employees
while working for Columbia and made a lot of friends thru
my 32 years there. I miss the employees the most! After
retiring from Columbia in 2002 I immediately started
working for Dulles Airport Authority near Chantilly, Virginia. My job title is Plumber/Pipefitter. I am not
a plumber for sure but I was mainly hired for my experience
of Natural Gas Meters and regulation which was my specialty
learned with Columbia Gas. I plan to stay with Dulles Airport for 5 more years and then retire again hopefully for good. If I had the choice again to remain at Columbia Gas
before retiring I probably would have stayed with Columbia,
only because I was at the top of field and it beats starting
all over again. My wife and I hope after retirement to relocate in another state perhaps near the water and build a new house. I just want to say one thing. God has truly blessed me and my family through it all. We have 3 beautiful children and 9 wonderful Grandkids so you see it was worth it all. Thanks for reading this and God Bless!
