Edward's Story

I moved back to British Columbia after a not too successful semester at SUNY Stony Brook. In 1967 I completed a one year vocational program in electronics and wound up working in aircraft maintenance with CPAir, later to become Canadian Airlines International. I got a commercial pilot license in 1970, but remained in avionics maintenance. In 1997 I bought a 1967 Piper Cherokee airplane that I still own. I retired in 2009 and now spend time training a Labrador retriever puppy, riding a Honda motorcycle or flying, and I also volun...Expand for more
teer for CASARA, the Canadian civilian air search and rescue organization. My wife and I have been married since 1972, had two sons, trained dogs and horses and live on five acres in Abbotsford, B.C. Update, Jan 2024: sold the airplane in 2018, no longer ride horses or motorcycles. In 2018 with help from our younger son, we built a new house on the acreage and his family now live beside us. My wife and I and our old dog have a suite above the garage. We do some farming, flowers and pumpkins, and eat a lot of fresh vegetables.
