Edward's Story
Hello, this is Edward, better known as Sonny. After graduation, I worked for the Public Works Department as a Dredge Apprentice for 6 months. I asked Sheila's parents for her hand in marriage and they said if I quit my job and join the Army they would approve. So I did. I joined the U.S. Army in November of 1974. Sheila and I were married in March of 1975. We have three children (g, b, g) and eight grand children. I retired from the Army in Dec of 1996 in Missouri. We have a nice house sitting on 15 acres of land in the Mark Twain National Forrest in the Ozark Hills.
After I retired from the Army I drove an 18 wheeler for 2 years, then became a driver trainer for a year. I missed Sheila, so I quit driving and started working at a prison. I did that for 2 years t...Expand for more
hen got a job as a trainer at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. I instruct soldiers in Basic Rifle Marksmanship.
I have been offered a position as an inspector at Ft. Huachuca, Arizon with a $7,000 pay raise. I am having trouble getting Sheila to leave the grand children.
I am a Christian and lead the Praise & Worship service at the church we attend. I was saved and born again while I was a Drill Sergeant. I have been a Christian since 1986. I quit drinking in 1979 and quit smoking in 1997. I still have a little trouble with mouthing off, but am working on it, or should I say "God's Still Working on Me."
I have been to 47 states and 3 country's. I trully enjoy life as a husband, daddy, papa, but most of all as a child of GOD.
