Edward's Story
Life
Attended WSU in the fall 1968, entered the Army in Aug 1969. Basic training at Ft Polk,La, OCS at Ft Sill,Ok. Commissioned a 2Lt in Sept 1970, married Sharon Branam (West High '70) enroute to flight training. Following flight training spent a tour in Viet Nam flying helicopters with the 1st Cav Division. Assigned to Ft Campbell, Ky where I seperated from the Army in Dec 1973. Returned to WSU spring 1974 and joined the Kan Army National Guard, flying out of Topeka, Kan . furloughed Jan 1981 thru Mar 1984 during which time I flew offshore with Air Logistics out of Sabine Pass, Tx and with Life Watch in Wichita. Recalled to American in Mar 1984, I was based in Dallas-Ft Worth, Tx . We have three children, daughter born in 1978, two sons born in 1981 and 1984. Still live in Wichita, commuted to fly out of DFW for 22years. Retired from American Airlines in Apr '05 and and went to work for Flight Safety as a sim instructor. We have been enjoying our grandchildren and looking forward to a simpler life. Would enjoy hearing from anyone on what has been happening in their life.
