Edward's Story
Well, my dad got transferred to Anchorage Alaska in late 1966, so I would have been a junior. I started school at East Anchorage High School in, I think, November. I remember a very cold winter ( 50 degrees below freezing at times!) I graduated in 1967, and went to work at a few different jobs. In May of 1968 I enlisted in the Army. I took Basic training at Ft. Lewis, Washington in May & June, then went to Military Police School at Ft. Gordon, Georgia in July & August. After MP school, I was sent to Viet Nam, where I was until September of 1969. I was transferred to Ft. Meade in Maryland. While stationed at Ft. Meade, I met my first wife. I reenlisted for 6 years, got married in May and was sent to Germany in May of 1970. I spent 39 months in Frankfurt, learned to speak German like a Frankfurt native and got separated from my wife. She returned to the States before I did. I left Germany in August of 1973, and was sent to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in northern Maryland. I was there until February of 1975. During that t...Expand for more
ime I got divorced. I was then sent to Korea where I met my second wife; we were married in April of 1976. I got out the Army in May of 1976. I got divorced from my second wife in May of 1977. I was living in Colorado Springs, Colorado with my mom while my dad was overseas in Korea, close to where I had been. In February of 1980 I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where I have been ever since. I met my third (and final) wife in 1983, married her in 1990 and we now have 24 wonderful years married together. I wish I had met her first!! I currently work at United Coin Machine Company, where I am the grave shift supervisor. I have been there over 24 years and a supervisor for the last 13 years.
I am still 6' 8" but I'm not so slim any more. I enjoy playing computer games, reading, watching TV and going shooting. I don't fish or hunt any more, but I DO miss fishing.
The photo is 5 years old. I no longer work for that company or at all- I retired in 2015. I still want to work but I have some small medical issues at the moment.
