Edward's Story

Life
Reside in Southeast part of the city, with wife of 53 years, same residence for 50 years, three block North of Cleveland. All three of our of children graduated from there, and I drove them nuts with the Franklin 'Quakers' fight song. At this time we have grandchildren ranging in age from 31 to 13 (2 boys, 4 girls) and four great grandchildren (2 boys, 2 girl). One of our granddaughters graduated from Cleveland in 2015.
Retired from active participation in auto racing in 2011, but still maintain an interest in cars and racing.
Attended the 50th reunion of the class of '61' and it was great to see some folks who had not attended a reunion for a while.
College

Workplace
From 1989 to 2009 (20 years) was employed by Cadet Manufacturing Co., located in Vancouver WA. Cadet is a manufacturer of electric space heating equipment. With the down turn in the economy, Cadet chose to eliminate the Engineering Development Group and thus my position May 2008. Spent 2009 as unemployed, then in 2010 considered myself retired.
Today
Spending my time these day dealing with family issues. I'm providing primary care for my wife and grandparent services. Two of our older grandchildren have started families of the own. Grandson is in Eastern WA and has a boy and a girl, a kindergartener and a preschooler. Granddaughter is in Utah and also has a boy, who is a second grader and a girl preschool age.
