Edward Pringle is the Senior HUD Official in Houston, Texas, serving as the Field Office Director within the Field Policy Management Division. His primary responsibilities cover oversight and management of the Houston Field Office, its employees and customers within a 35 county jurisdiction serving over 7 million residents with estimated HUD funds totaling over 28 Billion Dollars. He is one of 10 HUD Team Leads for Dedicating Opportunities to End Homelessness.
Edward Pringle is a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran with extensive management training. He taught Business Management Courses at City University in Seattle, Washington to graduate and undergraduate students. He later served as Vice President for Solitare Technologies, a computer company in Washington State, Vice President for the East Texas Investment Corporation, Inc, in Tyler, Texas, and was one of the original 10 Texas State Coordinators serving Region IV Prevention Resource Center with the Smith County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. 8 Chairman for the Texas Gulf Coast Combined Federal Campaign and helped raise an unprecedented amount of money to help those in need. He also served as Chairman of the 2008-2010 Houston Federal Executive Board that involves 115 Federal Agencies in the surrounding counties and is currently Vice Chair for the 2014-2015 Houston Federal Executive Board.
Edward Pringle graduated from two Senior Air Force Academies and from Webster University and Southern Illinois University. He earned an Associate Degree in Business Management; a Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Education (Training and Teaching Strategies); a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development (with concentrations in Training and Development); and a Doctorate Degree in Management. He is a Certified Trainer for Single Family Housing Loss Mitigation Programs. He attended and completed HUD's Community Builder's Program conducted at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and was assigned as a Community Builder Fellow. He is also a Senior Fellow with the Council for Excellence in Government and a Senior Fellow with Partnership for Public Service. He is a member of the White House Initiative for Asian American and Pacific Islanderâs Regional Working Group and Co-Chair for Region VI â outreach to community and individual development.
