Edward's Story
Life
After graduating from MHS, I attended North Dakota State University (BS, 1963) and Purdue University (MS, 1967). Both degrees were in entomology. I was drafted into the US Army in February 1967, then was commissioned as a 1LT in the Medical Service Corps in July 1967. After serving in Vietnam 1967/1968, I was assigned to Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and decided to stay in the Army. in 1989, retiring again in December 1999. I currently live on a 17-acre 'farmette' in southeastern West Virginia with my wife Marianne and five cats (we also board two horses for a neighbor). Between us, we have three sons 47, 54, and 56 years old as of July. 2018) from previous marriages. No grandchildren as yet. I keep busy working in a large vegetable garden and making 'improvements' on our house and yard. I remain, active in the survey/mapping of caves in our area, but have had to cut back very recently because of some cardiac issues.
