Eileen Plummer-Orth's Story
My husband Daniel L. Flatt passed away at the age of 81 at The Lund Home for hospice patients November 15,2023. We thought he had the flu as couldn't keep any food down. Nov. 9th the drs. discovered he had Stage 4 cancer of the stomach and esophagus. Dan was admitted into the hospital Oct. 31st then transported to the Lund Home where he sadly passed away Nov. 15th. All of us are sadden by his passing and at least he is resting in peace with Our Lord with no more pain. My second husband David A. Sokolowski passed of cancer Nov. 14th 2009. I have very fond and treasured memories of both husbands. Rest in Peace David and Daniel.

Oklahoma City where my husband Dan and myself drove down to make arrangements for Bill. He will be dearly missed by family as well as his many Softball friends he knew and worked for the ASA for 30 1/2 years. Bill served four years in the Air Force and was a Sgt. Then he obtained his bachelor's degree at Indiana Univ. Bill accomplished so much in his 71 years and we all wished he had lived longer. As many of his friends in Softball remarked, Bill knew so much about Softball he was a walking book on the subject. Bill also wrote a book,"The Game America Plays" which chronicled 75 years of Softball. Now Bill is in heaven writing and no doubt playing the game serving as empire. May you rest in peace dear brother, we all loved you and can't believe you are in heaven and left us too early.
