Eileen's Story

Life I live in Utah with my husband and 2 children. I graduated from Rutgers in 1980 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. My first job was with Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Barrington, NJ. In 1982, I moved to South Carolina and began working for Kimberly-Clark Corp. I was offered the opportunity to move to Ogden, UT with K-C in 1984, to work on the start-up of a new plant. While working in Utah, I met my husband, Brett. We were married in 1990. In 1992 we were re-assigned to another plant start-up in England. As part of that assignment we spent 8 months in Paris, TX where my daughter was born. After returning from England in 1994, we lived briefly in ...Expand for more
Wisconsin. My husband was given the opportunity to return to Utah to be closer to his family during the last stages of his father's battle with ALS. When we returned to Utah, I chose to resign from K-C and become a full-time mom. It was quite a change in job requirements! In 1996, our son was born. Since returning to Utah 10 years ago, I have had a few part time jobs, but my primary focus has been on the needs of my family. These days I spend a lot of my time driving my kids around to their various activities and volunteering at their school. In the fall of 2004, I accepted a part time position at a local elementary school teaching enrichment classes.
