Elaine's Story

I doubt that I much resemble the person I was in high school. Life has a way of changing us all - some more than others. Way back in high school, I was quiet. As was the case with many others, I was unsure of myself and malleable. My, my, how a mere 40 or 50 years can change a girl! Eventually, I ended up in the Northern California area where I have resided for over 40 years. In the early 1970's, I became one a handful of women in the specialty area of non-profit management in which I was working. ted field - so much for ground breaking. Now, it seems like nothing; but back then, it was a big deal. I stayed on that career path of non-profit management for another 25 years until retirement. Later, I did some part time work in other not for profit areas, as well. Two wonderful human beings call me mom. My daughter currently copes with two teen age daughters of her own (one of whom will be graduating from high school this year). My son is a veterinarian and, thankfully, lives in the area now after several years of being out of state. Time marches on.
