EDNA's Story
After graduation, I attended Blair Business College & obtained a Secretarial Certificate. I took the Civil Service Test & was recruited for a job with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC. I moved to DC in 12/1972. In 1974, I got married in MD and have a daughter (who lives in COS and has a daughter). I divorced in 1980. I worked for the Agency until 8/78, when I returned home. When I came home in, I started working for Colorado Interstate Gas Company (CIG). I worked at CIG for 13 years. While at CIG, I attended Regis University obtaining a bachelors degree. decided to go to law school (University of Tulsa College of Law). I graduated law school in 1996 with my Juris Doctorate. I left home again in 1999, moving to Charlotte, NC. In 2002, my father's health took a turn so I came back home to take care of him. In 1982, my mother passed; my father in 2019. I have a sister, Pat, who now lives in Palm Springs, CA & a brother, Tim, who lives in Monument with his family. In 2006, I started working at USAA & retired from there in 10/2020. Since retirement I have done some state-side traveling. I enjoy traveling (driving or flying), cooking/baking, & reading.
