Elaine's Story
For the last 20 years I have traveled to Pow Wows and different areas selling Native American jewelry and artifacts. Nine years ago my husband prepared a space of my own, to sell my jewelry in. This is something I enjoy very much. He bought a building in Wilder, Idaho and fixed it up, to keep me out of trouble so he said.
This is where I can be found 6 days a week.
We have moved from Idaho to Oregon now, and have a farm there, next year we have potatoes contracted for our land. We have had alfalfa for several years. For a few years we had livestock. I got tired of chasing stock when the fences had problems.
We live just 4 miles into Oregon. Have some of the most beautiful buttes and secenery in the country, right close to the Snake River.
The name of my business is The Native Touch, in Wilder, Idaho. Ever in this part of the country, stop in I'd love to see you.
Today is November 23, 2009. Yesterday was my daughters 52nd birthday. Barely got her called in time to wish her HB. Does anyone else have trouble with the time?

lace before this AM.
Got some wonderful pictures of the dancing. Made me wish I was able to get out and dance also.
It's enough to watch the dancing, was wore out when I got back to the shop.
If you've never attended a Pow Wow I high recommend them.
Well the summer has finally ended and the winter is creeping up. Yesterday we had a slight snow here in the valley. Didn't last long, but it was enough to wet down the wheat.
Wheat is up about 6 inches and looking good.
Didn't know I'd become a farmer in my old age, did you?
We are planning a trip through WV this winter some time. Am planning on going on to FL. My brother is in a nursing home there and I need to see him. Also want to get in touch with some of the class mates and maybe they can make time to meet somewhere and have coffee.
My daughter lives in Iowa, and my only great grand daughter, so I'll get to see them also.
Most of the time is spent in NM as I go there to replenish my stock. So it is a fun trip.
I don't get on this to often, so I'll take this time to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and a Very Merry Christmas. God bless you all.
