Elaine's Story
As you all may remember, I was married the year before we graduated so I've already celebrated my 40th Anniversary and its with the same guy! We have two children, a boy and a girl who are both married and have built homes on 5 acre plots behind us. And yes, I still live on the same 40 acres I was born on and now my kids and 5 grandchildren live here too. Our grandchildren's ages are 9, 11, 12, 13 & 14, one girl and four boys. We love having them close and enjoy all the activities that pre-teens/teens can bring. They help keep us young and make us feel old all at the same time.
We also have lake property about 60 miles south of Cloquet on Big Pine Lake. We enjoy almost every weekend there in the summer and the grandkids have turned into great fishermen/swimmers/marshmellow roasters, etc.

ice Department and have been with the City of Cloquet for the past 14 years. Howard has been retired from the Police Department for 9 years and is now filling in as a part-time Bailiff at the Carlton County Courthouse. Both our son and daughter work as Security Counselor's at the prison in Moose Lake so we have it all covered - my job makes the arrests - Howard's puts them in jail and the kids keep them in jail. ( I guess apples don't fall far from the tree:)
Each winter we like to take a couple of weeks vacation and head to Florida for a good dose of the sun. We love the Fort Myers Beach area and my brother has a place in Englewood.
I'll get to retire when health insurance is free....or when I'm 62 whichever comes first. Then we hope to spend a couple of months in Florda each year or wherever our wheels take us.
