Elaine's Story
My husband, whom I love very much, is an engineer working with industrial control systems. He has a small engineering business: Coherent Technologies, Inc. coherent-tech.com We have traveled a lot for his business.
I have been an evangelist and Bible teacher and I have traveled for this. I have ministered in churches, in the streets, (and at special events for children) in the US and in Wales and Melbourne, Australia, and Russell, New Zealand. I have been on short term missions trips to Southeast Asia (Sri Lanka, Myanmar (Burma), and Thailand) and Mexico.
I love children and always wanted several but with each pregnancy came miscarriage.
I received Jesus as Lord of my life at age 27. Some years later I recognized the call of God on my life. So I went to Bible college at the old Pepperdine University Campus in LA, attending Crenshaw Christian Center School of the Bible and School of Ministry. I received unaccredited diplomas. But I was there to learn not to get a sheepskin. And learn I did!
Before going to Bible college and afterward I worked as an industrial electrician and instrumentation technician. I keep my Texas State Journeyman Electrician License current - I worked to hard to get it to ever let it go.
I love traveling, music, dancing, swimming, snorkeling, bicycle riding, flying, cooking, sewing, reading, writing, learning, teaching, building and decorating. My favorite channel is HGTV.
I have traveled to Wales, England, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and many of the states in the US and I have thoroughly enjoyed every trip.
I am 5' 1 1/2" tall, weigh 125 lbs, have long brown hair with a little gray and am healthy. I'm moderately athletic, moderately only because I work too much and don't have time to play enough. I work in my husband's business doing the books and various other tasks.

ce because traveling with him on business keeps me away from my projects.
I discovered the healthy way of eating and have followed it for 20 years. When I deviate, the sad results send me back to doing right. It is a starch based diet accompanied by vegetables and fruit and with no added fat. All are complex carbohydrates which is what our bodies were really made for. I say, no added fats, as in the so called ¿healthy¿ olive oil) - that means I do not use free oils when I cook. I get the oils directly in the whole food when I eat it. Corn oil comes from corn. Olive oil comes from olives. Soy bean oil comes from soy beans. So I eat the whole food. It has cured me of many chronic diseases and conditions including Type 2 diabetes, obesity, constipation, cysts, fatigue, anxiety, acid indigestion, headaches, flaky scalp, brittle nails, etc. It certainly is major in prevention of all the complications that go with the standard American diet that I used to be on ¿ a diet which includes lots of meat and dairy (ugh!) along with veggies smothered in sauces, butter, cheese, and oily, fatty salad dressings ugh!. Even with sweets out of the picture that¿s a bad diet. That's how I used to eat. But for the past 20 years my life is a testimony to the truth about eating right. See drmcdougall.com for more information. The doctors are amazed at our good health.
So, I like to prepare healthful, delicious meals for my friends and family and they love it!
We have rollerbladed many places around the world because we took our rollerblades with us on our trips. It provided good exercise and entertainment.
We have lots of friends and fun and are very committed to serving our community. Our life is great but not without challenges, which of course end in victory.
To sum it up: Good family, good friends, good food, good health and good travels. And a lot of thanks to my Lord, Jesus, for all of it!
