Elaine Arm:  

Life Elaine Schenk graduated from Catalina High School and from the University of Arizona. I moved from Tucson in l968 with my husband Fred Arm to San Diego California so that he could obtain his law degree. My parents continued to live in Tucson where I returned several times a year to visit my mother who lived there until two years ago. That was the last time I saw Tucson. I currently live in San Diego in a downtown high rise with my current husband. We have been together for the last 23 years. Richard has been in the field of Euducational Reform as a consultant for the National Organization of Year Round Schools Toghether we have five sons; three are from his previos marrage and my two sons are from my first husband. Four of our children live in San Diego. Two of the sons are married and we are expecting our first grandchild. When I moved to San Diego in 68 I started a long career with the San Diego Unified School district. Over the past 34 years I have been a teacher, counselor, vice principal, and principal of the largest school in the district. My current assignment is at the District Office where I am Coordinator of the Leadership Development Academy. My work is to train and develop the administrative leadership of the district.
