Elaine's Story
First of all, the name "Tick" was a brutalization
of a longer Polish-Russian name. Such names
were extremely unpopular, especially in the communistic-phobic post World War culture .
So at Ellis Island, all those names got hacked up into easy to pronounce names. There are "Tictoc"s in Chicago related to my family. I wished I got that version rather than the blood sucking Tick version. But my folks maintained the name with admirable dignity. My mom would not change it for the world because she loved and respected my dad completely.

d married name for decades while
doing business in Fayetteville, Arkansas and raising two beautiful girls, Autumn and Crystal.
Life took me to Evanston Illinois for college, Southern California 7 years, Arknasas for 20 years, and back to Santa Barbara, California for 4 years of post graduate studies in Oriental Medicine. I recently passed the California State Licensing Exam and will begin practicing in Santa Maria, California . This fulfills a dream that began in 1975 when I began training with Ni Hua Ching, 27th generation Chinese physician, who later became chancelor of Yo San University.
