Elaine's Story
Hello friends! It's been a couple years since I last posted my story of what's been going on - always so darn busy! I'm much busier, in some respects, now that my 3 girls are older than when they were young! My oldest daughter, Alyssa, is 19 & a sophomore at UC San Diego. She wants to get into medicine & go into public health. My 2nd daughter, Bryanna, is 16 and a jr. in high school. She's a great athelete and very artistic. She can sing, dance, play the piano, and she's a great dance choreographer. She's competing in the Jr. Miss event this Sat. evening - Valentine's Day - it will be fun to watch her! She's doing it more for the fact that it looks good on your college resume. My "baby", Cierra, is 13 & in 8th grade. She's very compassionate, extremely social ( she has "movie night" at our home every other month & invites around 10 of her friends) is constantly talking or texting her friends on her cell phone and still finds time to study & get good grades and is an awesome athelete. (she was MVP for basketball & volleyball & received coaches award for soccer. My husband, Jack, is still the head tennis pro at the club here in town and now is the assistant coach for the wome...Expand for more
n's tennis team at Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, California- where we live. (we actually live just east of Turlock in the city of Denair)We live a 1 1/2 hours drive south of Sacramento and 1 1/2 hour drive east of San Francisco. It's been a great place to raise our kids. For over the last 3 years I've been working as an occupational therapist at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. I work mainly in the out patient rehabilitation department working with alot of hand injuries but also seeing a variety of other patients with varied diagnoses. I still play tennis once a week but not at the tournament level any more because I'm always working so I don't have time to train for that level. Well, I could but I don't like to lose & I guess my ego can't handle it. If I can't play at 100% it's just frustrating. I enjoy golf but it's different - I don't take myself so seriously 'cause I'm a hack! Anyway, life is good - despite the trials of life - and this whacked out economy! God has blessed my family and I with much joy and happiness and for that I am very thankful! Hope all is well with all my wonderful Crescent Valley classmates! I have great memories of growing up in Corvallis!
