Life
Hi! I have been married to Laverne Burdick of Putnam, Ct. for 46 years. We have 9 children, 12 grandchildren and both retired now, enjoying ourselves between MA and NC. Hopefully we plan on settling in the south soon. Still teaching Calligraphy, Painting, Quilling, which keep me busy in the north and south. Love to cook, bake and garden, walks on the beach and lunch on Cape Cod and Newport.
Each year, in December, I participate in the Town of Westfield's "Dickens of a Day" by taking part in there Christmas Tour of Homes. I sit in one of the homes in costume, and address place cards in Calligraphy which I decorate with ...Expand for more
Quilling and give one to each adult and child as a rememberance. I am Scrooges secretary! Also, on the weekends, I will do the same at a local Gift Store or Antique Shop to provide some added ambience and Holiday Spirit!
My current age is 73. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really ancient. I was so completely wrong! O my! Although recently, my health became compromised due to chemotherapy, I have been happy teaching classes, getting involved with community and delivering flowers for 2 Shops delivering 'Sunshine'! Yes, you have to be strong to get older, but OH, what fun life has to offer, Yeah!
