Eleanor's Story
Ok, here goes! After ASA (Academy of St. Aloysius High School, I went to Jersey City State College for less than a year due to many, many, many issues but mostly Mom dying. So, Ken and I (who I took to my ASA prom), got married and I went to work in NYC, in the travel/hospitality field. Had 25 years of travel all over the world and luckily, Ken & Kenny accompanied me on many of those journeys! So, when Kenny graduated from Rutgers, I decided to go back to school and get my bachelors. I went back to State, now called New Jersey City University, and got my B.A. in Special Education. I started teaching here in Jersey City at good old Dickinson High School. I took a semester off, and then resumed my education, being awarded my Masters in Special Education in the spring of 2004. aster University Ft. Lauderdale. I am currently in the excrutiatingly painful disertation process... and if I survive this, I will complete it in the spring!
Now, about our sole offspring! Kenny is truly a wonder. His dad and I are constantly amazed and totally overwhelmed with pride at his character and accomplishments. He is a Captain in the US Army; he is an Army Ranger; and he is a tank commander. He and his fabulous wife are both Captains; Stephanie is an MP. They are both currently stationed in Iraq. They are truly our blessings in life!
So, that's about it right now, except that I am starting a new curriculum in the Spring and working on my certification in Chemistry (Ms. Connie Taylor at ASA would be so proud!!!!!)
This Classmates.com has been a great experience. It's wonderful to hear from old, old, old lost friends and see what everyone is up to!
