Eleanor's Story

Still living in Salem, Oregon and I am now a widow. My husband of 10 years, Steve Majerak, just recently passed away from gallbladder/liver cancer at the age of 66. It's hard to be single again.. I was employed by Salem Pulmonary Associates for the last 36 years, retiring in 2015. . I have one daughter, Jena McClain, who is an RN in the NICU at Salem hospital. child, Jax, and he is the light of my life! I also have three cats to care for, and a yard full of squirrels and birds (also skunks and raccoons who drop by). I still work part-time during the summer months for Woodburn Dragstrip in their Pro-Shop. Retirement is wonderful, but losing my spouse this year (2020) has been difficult. I sure hope that 2021 is better for everyone.
