Eleanor's Story
Life
As you can see from my communities, it took 12 years of schooling after high school to become an Emergency Medicine physician. My parents sent me to Rutgers, but they could not afford Georgetown so I got a military scholarship through the Navy to pay for my education. It included full tuition, books, equipment and a stipend. It always comes down to time or money so I gave the Navy 5 years payback after I was done at Georgetown. Washington DC, by the way, is a blast! Anyway, I chose to do my internship in sunny San Diego. Loved it, but decided I was definitely an East Coast girl. Stationed next in VA Beach for 2 years and then at headquarters back in DC. This would be my last tour as I got out of the military in 2000 after my commitment was up. During this time, I met my husband, Michael Dunham. He is not a doctor, he's not military and he is very unlike me. You might say that he is a lot of fun. e reception on the top terrace of the Kennedy Center in July 2002. Mike already had Bert (short for Robert) who is currently 9 years old. Mikey came in June 2003, he is now 4 years old. It also turned out to be a moot point since my parents decided they were tired of the cold and snow and moved last August to San Antonio, Texas. Since Mike grew up in State College, to say he is a die-hard Penn State fan would be an understatement. He is at all of the home games and I go with him occasionally. They are a lot of fun! Right now, we are developing some land we bought. If you are thinking you might want a change and want to move to Hershey, PA, let me know. I tried to post our website, but apparently I am not allowed to post websites. Talk to me at the reunion and I'll give you the website then if you're interested.
