Eleanor's Story

School Was at Elm Heights for the elementry yrs. Met some friends there, I still have as friends. Jr. High was tough, though I was able to endure it with much patience, and the help of friends. Highschool was better in some ways, and not in others. Had good friends there who are helpful and who have stayed friends with me since my elementry days. College, was a whole new world, and much better than any of the other schools. Made friends there, but many of them are elsewhere and don't know how they are doing. Loved participation in the Campus Ministries and stayed as long as I dared to do so. Met husband at church, still married and plan to stay that way. My kids are all almost grown, in college, and one has joined the military. Have two girls and a son. Am active in my church. As is my husband, and oldest daughter is in Seminary. Younger daughter is active in her art work (school major), and son will be in Military this Summer. My son is now married, my middle daughter is planning on that in the future to come, with her bf. and that has still much to be planned on. He has started another school in a different location. She is working full time, to pay off bills. When she is done she will open up her own possibly, business with the training from the school that she has recieved. Oldest is still at the seminary. Husband is still with me, Praise the LORD, and still fully employed. I am busy at home, and with a part time job. I am needing to sell a product or two or three, and not good at it. Would appreciate prayer from those who are Christian to help me in that area. Need vaild customers. The ones I do have are not repeating their need as often as I would appreciate them to be able to do so. So have a build up of the products as a result. School reunions I would attend, if I could get my husband interested in coming with me, othewise I would consider it a 'girls' night out with her friends. I don't take pictures to be posted on the internet. My proportions are not what they were for the school years, as I am not a young woman as such. I am diabetic now, rather pre-diabetic, and lost weight from what I had been. That was not fun . I was sick with shingles, and flue, as well as early diabetic status. It took all of Jan, the last few days of Dec. and first two weeks of Feb. before was able to get back to some kind of normallcy. I went from over 180+ to 138 + by now. My clothes are comfortable. My church is BIG, and have several friends there. So there is a lot to do there. and much to keep me busy. My husband is also busy with work, and his health, and church too. We both sing in the large choir, about 130 members when all are present . If everyone came that was on the roster it would be 300, but there isn't that much room in the choir loft. That's it for now. I haven't joined the 'gold' membership due to my husband's desire to have me not do that. Updates : Husband has been out of work since the end of Sept. we are preparing to move to a new location for where his new job will be . He sent out many applications to work via the military as a civil engineer, and the job has gotten several responses. So I am glad for that. My son is now back from his overseas duty, and will be able to be with his wife now. He needs much prayer on management of finances, he is not doing a good job there currently. His wife needs prayer too in that area to be strong, and not let any more get mis managed by him. My daughter that is at a Christian college will be graduating this spring ! I am very glad for her ! My other daughter will soon be taking her test for Massage, and to be lisenced in her work. I also will be glad for that for her sake too. She will need prayer for guidance for the place to work in once that has been passed and the liscence recieved. Wisdom for all is also needed. Status updates, We moved to West Palm Beach FL. Live in an apt. here, and it is good considering that my husband is also paying the mortgage on the house in TN. My youngest will be a father in the Spring with his wife, as far as I know we will have a grandson ! My younger daughter is at the house in TN working at a pharmacy there, and also needing a good vehicle to drive, the one she has been using is not stable with it's spark plug not being able to sta...Expand for more
y put. It's a stick shift and an old 1989 model .The car is now not being used due to it's unreliability. My oldest is in Louisville Ky, living with an elderly lady, needs much prayer for guidance for her future. We are active here in Fl, in a small church and a small choir but enjoy their music ministry. As we participate in it, a Choir that was over 130 in TN, is now about the size of our congregation here in Fl. The choir in Fl. is about 25 members when more are present. So it has been quite a contrast in size for us, from three morning services to one . But we are also on the Eastern Standard time, and I don't like that fact, but am glad we only have one service and one Sunday School class to attend. It is of mixed generations, and co-ed too. I like that feature very much ! My son and his wife are overseas, and he is going through a lot of pain with a sports injury from July of 2009. Treatment requires aggressive therapy to contain it . Will share more when I am able to do so. Please keep my son in prayer. He is still in the Army and overseas, with his wife with him. My son and daughter in love, are expecting our first grandchild, a son to be, at the end of April! By the way some of those 'selection' choices given really don't identify me very well at all, so please don't think that they do. I do have caffiene free tea, that I will drink, and since I am also with the condition of 'diabetic' tendencies, I don't take the desserts like I use to do. I can't have caffiene in anything at all. So that limits what I drink, eat etc. If you are on facebook and want to get in touch please do so. I don't know how that works from here. I am not not presently working, but am thinking about possibly going back into it again . Am not sure just when. So if you are interested in at least sharing your 'faith' with me how you became a Christian I would like to hear that. If you are not a Christian I would like to know why not, so I can pray for you. I hope that will be helpful to you. We are grandparents from our son's marriage, and have a grandson, and my second daughter is married, and we are about to become grandparents again, We wll be expecting our second grandson the end of June or early July. My son and his wife will soon be coming back to the states about that same time and so hope to be able to see all of the family then. They will be going North West after than so it will be a valuable vist time for all of us. Do hope that you are all well, and that GOD is an important part of your life. We will be making a local move to a house this time as to be purchased as opposed to being rented. My mom and sister are in a nursing home and have been for a few months, it is hard on the emotions with their dream condo on the market. So hope that God will help us through all of this time as I know we greatly need Him in all of this. May God draw all of you to Salvation, and a hunger to read His Word in faith. My husband will be retired come next week. He has plans of musical areas in singing gospel songs and recording a cd. I don't know if I have shared regarding our newest grandson .He was born the beginning of Aug. Shortly after my husband's father died . Only his mom is alive and of course siblings and their family members. All my family I grew up with outside of cousins who are still alive and growing, are buried in Valhalla there in Bloomington. But I am glad for grandsons and a granddaughter! Only all of them are distant from where we live. So I don't get to see them very often. Thank God for grandchildren! My husband is retired now, and we are adjusting to new hrs. in the home together. We will be visiting family and making a special trip to NY. My husband hopes someday to record his singing not there, but Nashville possibly. We have changed churches due to the former one having dissolved. We are in another small church but it appears to be growing, with a sweet choir, and two services. The pastor is great, and doing well with the congregation. Very thankful for new congregation! Continued prayers for my family is much appreciated. I am not on Facebook presently, google+ is where I am able to see many pictures still miss my many friends and family. God be with you.

This is what we were supposed to see but instead we saw a lot of fish instead. It was too warm for the manatees to want to be in the lagoon.
We were told barracudas, sheephead and tarp were in the water instead. Though a shark made a cameo appearance I didn't see it and a leopard stingray I did see.
Nothing really seen here.
Same here.
Just an update on my quilt for my granddaughter. I have started July.
Sorry about the angle here, but this is the flyer of the concert coming up soon. The youth here pictured are not alone in the youth, there are many more.

We had an unusual visitor to our BSF DISCUSSION group today. I think he was getting his sunbath in the shade here.
