er in his medical practice , and immediately moved the family into a new home with plenty of room for visiting in laws. My son is also doing well in SA, and has been in the newspaper quite a bit. His first book "Kitchen Vagabond" was published in Oct and is available on Amazon. I'm playing golf as much as I can,but I can tell you the old adage "practice makes perfect" does not apply. Age is catching up. I spent a few days in the hospital with a case of cellulitis and had bouts with tendinitis and gout during the year. On the bright side, I started drawing SS benefits! Also heard from John Blake, who is trying to to track down everyone for our 50th reunion. hope to get to Boston soon to see family and friends. 2013 My wife retired in May from teaching. We thought we would see the kids and grand kids more, but my daughter resumed her law career part time, and put both kids in preschool/ day care 5 days a week. My son quit his job as executive chef of a fancy hotel in San Antonio and opened his own restaurant, which was named best new restaurant in SA for 2013. We did get to SA for their birthdays and enticed them to spend a weekend in Austin where both sides of the family arranged to meet. To celebrate our 40th anniversary, my wife and I went to Europe for a few weeks. We started in Prague and went to Switzerland, floated down the Rhine to Amsterdam with some friends,, and finally took a high speed train to Paris for a few days before flying home. 2014 Had another family get together in June in San Juan, PR. grandkids were into pirates so we had a treasure hunt on the beah. After finding the treasure chest my 3 year old grand daughter came down to dinner in her pirate hat, rabbit vest, black skirt and boots. Everyone in the Ritz lobby was in shock as she strutted by to the restaurant. Had a great time at the reunion. Hope there will be more.
