Elisabeth's Story
Life
After graduating from Hamilton College in December of 1979 I worked in children's book publishing. Went to the Writers Workshop at The University of Iowa(MFA) Married Len Horowitz '83(Curtis HS grad 1973). Moved to Lille, France for two years while he studied medicine and I studied french and taught english. Lived in D.C. while I edited books, copyedited manuscripts and worked in a bookstore and gave birth to my first son in 1986. We moved to Miller Place, Long Island in 1988 and I taught english. Second son born in 1990. Moved to Honesdale, PA for a year and lived at a yoga institute. Moved New England in 1991.
I'm currently an english professor.
One son attends the Rhode Island School of Design. My younger son will begin college in September.
I'm still in touch with Robin Kelleher and Elaine Sharfstein (Meadows).

te, I think about all of our class's losses, especially the two friends above. Robin Kelleher and Elaine Sharfstein were both steady friends of my childhood, as was Sandy Duskin who I had the chance to be with two days before his death last June. I was also stunned by George Yarborough's death which I heard about on Facebook. He was so talented musically and otherwise though I do regret teasing him about the bell choir he was in (Sorry George, I had never heard of it!). He was a fun sidekick as a physics lab partner, a great dancer and had the best laugh. May they all rest in peace and know that they were greatly loved by me.
What a crazy world and what a crazy year!
I am busy teaching writing, walking my pug dogs,working for racial justice and have both of my sons and my daughter in law living with us right now. So, full house!
