Elisabeth's Story
If you're reading this, you most likely know that I started off my college career as a chemistry major at Baylor with the goal of becoming a forensic toxicologist. After the Semester from Mordor, I began wondering if I really wanted to spend the rest of my life in a lab, and after prolonged deliberation, I switched to a double major in chemistry and German. But I didn't know what to do after graduation until, after much prayer and guidance, it became crystal clear that God wanted me to go on to grad school in... English. For a Ph.D...Expand for more
. with a focus in medieval British literature and theology, and a second focus on J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. I tutored in the Writing Center for two years before attempting to teach, but the perfect storm I call the Semester from Angband convinced me that while I make a decent prof, teaching just isn't what God wants me to do right now. And then He opened the door for me to become an editor at Baylor University Press, which may turn into a full-time gig when I graduate in May. I love it.
