Elise's Story

I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston with a BA in English and an MA in Related Arts. When I moved back to the Chicago area in the early 80s, I worked as an editor, proofreader, and writer until I married then had my daughter in 1995. I returned to Charleston in 1999 ...Expand for more
and divorced in 2003; I taught English composition at the university here for five years, leaving somewhat exhausted (how did Aleshire do it?). I have four dogs and two cats in addition to my wild (but unfurry) teenage daughter. Still writing poetry and getting published now and again....
