Elise's Story

Life I left Adams High and South Bend when I was 16 and moved to Long Beach, CA with my family. I attended UC Berkely during the People's Park riots of 1969 and then transferred to UC Santa Barbara. In 1970, I met my husband, Gregory, while working at a summer job for Douglas Aircraft. We were married in December 1970 and then both attended Long Beach State College. ear. Our daughter, Leah, was born in 1982. I owned a catering business for several years while my children were young and then went to work for Bellevue Community College in 1986. I worked there for 16 years, 11 of which were as chief of staff to the president of BCC. I will be retiring in November 2004 and plan to do much more travelling, skiing, reading, cooking and gardening! I count my years at Adams as my real high school years (as opposed to the two years I attended in California). I think of my classmates fondly and would love to hear from you. Elise Reisman Erickson
