Elizabeth's Story
When I started at Stone Mountain Elementary in the 3rd grade, it was a very hard thing to do.I went to Avondale Elementry for 2 years. I did not know anyone but I met people who would become my friends throughout high school.
After High School I went to LPN school and graduated in Feb 1965. I went to the State Capitol to take my State Boards. I started working in March 1965 at Egleston Childrens Hospital in Atlanta. I worked there until 1968. I married in 1969 and started working in Milledgeville, Georgia at the same time. I have worked here for 40 vears, plus the 3 years at Egleston. I have 3 boys, all are married and 2 grandsons. Two of my sons are in Law Enforcement.

one Mountain for over 72 years my parents moved to Loganville, Georgia.(2002)
In 2005 my mother passed away, at the age of 85. My father is 91 years old and lives in Loganville, Georgia. My sister lives just at short way from him.
In August of 2009 I retired from nursing after working for 44+ years. I stayed with my father in Loganville for a brief time. My father passed away November 2009. My sister still lives in Loganville. I have one son who lives in Dacula, one lives in Eatonton and one lives in Atlanta. Charles, my husband, had a hear attack in August 2012. Just this year he had to have a pacemaker/defibralator inserted. He is getting back to normal but it has been a slow process.
