Life
Well, I haven't wandered too far from my old stomping ground, unlike some of my classmates who have traveled across the country and embarked upon wonderous adventures. I entered San Bernardino Valley College the summer after graduation to repeat the chemistry class I flunked in my senior year. I toyed with the idea of being a teacher, however, since I was engaged to a Marine, I figured there would be better employment opportunities as a nurse. eing an RN, it's busy, crazy, and rewarding. I live about 50 miles from the "old hood", and cruise E St. once in a blue moon just to remember those wild Saturday nights in 1967. It sure has changed, flower children, peace signs, and tambourines mingled with Bob Dylan and Jefferson Airplane are all part of the shadows. I guess all things change sooner or later. Too bad the vast wilderness of the Lytle Creek wash where Old Man Sam grazed his cattle has been transformed to a concrete flood control channel, I'm sure there were still uncharted areas awaiting exploration. Well, here I am, hoping to reconnect with those who have recollections of the "good ol' days."
